1st Annual WOW Encore-A Winter Weekend-Friday December 4th-Sunday December 6th
For the first time, we have extended Wings Over Water to include one winter weekend of trips in December, called WOW Encore. This is in hopes of increasing the possibility of seeing larger groups of migratory birds and waterfowl. All WOW Encore Programs take place on National Wildlife Refuges only.

We have a WOW limited edition 2015 t-shirt. You may see the t-shirt design example on-line via the WOW website: http://wingsoverwater.org/shopping.html This year the t-shirt comes in the one color & one design as shown (it's actually a lighter grey than in the photo). The t-shirt is a top-quality Hanes Beefy-t, t-shirt. You may order your t-shirt now either by phone or via the on-line system and pick them up in December during WOW Encore at WOW headquarters, National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center on Roanoke Island. Or, visit either Refuge gift shop to see and purchase your WOW t-shirt now.
You do not have to create an account to just look at trips, locations and availability. If you want to look at trips, dates, locations and availability BEFORE you have to sign up and pay any fees, click on the purple REGISTER NOW button on the right side of this page. Next, click on the blue REGISTRANT button. Next, leave the INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION BUTTON set as is. Do not click on the group option if you just want to look. Next, click on the blue REGISTER button. YOU ARE NOW AT THE ACTIVITY PAGE. Scroll down through birding, paddling, natural history, photography, and other activities to see every WOW trip/program and how many spaces are open on each of them. Click on the Blue ? Circle located to the right of the trip name, for a full trip/program description.
The are no walk-ons allowed.
